COMMUNITY EMERGENCY PLAN

Community Resilience is about knowing who our community are and being able to help and support each other in the face of a common crisis.

Utility failures, severe weather events and flooding cause disruption; in these events our community will be better prepared to cope when everyone works together using their local knowledge.

Our Community Emergency Plan  helps us to make sure the community is well prepared.  The Community Emergency Plan helps identify who will be able to offer support, specialist skills and equipment available and who will need the most help in the event of an emergency.

The plan is currently being updated and due to GDPR regulations we are unable to share a full copy of the plan with you but we can share a summarised version of the contact details that can be used in a emergency.

A copy of Tasburgh's Community Plan is also held by

The District Council Emergency Planning Officer Jenny Bloomfield

Andrew Patrick, Co-ordinator 07775 898301

Preston Thomas ,  Deputy Co-ordinator  07730 049077

Jill Casson, Chair Tasburgh Parish Council

Tina Eagle, Clerk

The responsibility for watercourse maintenance

If you live on, own or lease land next to a watercourse you have rights and responsibility for its maintenance. It is the presumption in common law, in the absence of any evidence to the contrary.  This is known as ‘riparian rights and responsibilities’. Read further information on riparian rights and responsibilities and Watercourse Management
